Update on Brain Metastases: Navigating Treatment Decisions, Reducing Long-Term Harms

In three parts, UCSF neuro-oncology specialists present the latest on managing brain metastases. First, learn when to consider surgery and how advanced techniques, such as functional mapping and laser interstitial thermal therapy, can deliver better outcomes. Next is a discussion of specific drugs and targeted therapies for brain metastases from the three most common cancer culprits, including the evidence on what to try for leptomeningeal disease. And finally, hear how to identify and relieve neurologic symptoms from cancer treatments and how new treatment techniques are reducing this risk.
