Krishan Soni, MD, MBA

Interventional cardiologist

Krishan Soni, MD, MBA

Dr. Krishan Soni is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease and a wide variety of other heart conditions.

Soni earned his medical degree at the Yale School of Medicine and his master's degree in business administration at the Yale School of Management. He completed his residency at UCSF, serving as the first chief resident in quality improvement and patient safety. He remained at UCSF for fellowships in clinical cardiology and interventional cardiology, and joined the UCSF faculty in 2016.

In addition to caring for patients, Soni serves as director of value for inpatient medical subspecialties in the UCSF Department of Medicine. In this role, he works with practice leaders to improve the safety, quality, efficiency and value of care delivered to patients. He also works with quality improvement champions within the various departments, helping them lead these efforts within their practices.
